The gurgling of an inset pond offers respite for pollinators and obscures the drone of traffic. Stones sourced from nearby mountains frame a drought-tolerant plateau bursting with grasses and shrubs.

A multi-trunked oak stands sentinel before the entrance. Several installations of hardwood Ipe cladding instill a cadence of warmth. That radiant tone is echoed in the weathered steel beams that define the rear pavilion.
